⚠️ Crucial Warning on Passphrases: Backups are encrypted with military-grade
AES-256-GCM. We cannot reset your passphrase. If you forget your passphrase, that backup file cannot be restored by anyone.

2. Ensuring Reminders Ring on Android (Battery Whitelisting)
Some Android manufacturers (such as Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Huawei) enforce aggressive battery killers that kill background alarms. To guarantee your habit reminders ring at the exact minute:
| Manufacturer | Recommended Setting Adjustment |
|---|---|
| Samsung (OneUI) | Go to Settings → Apps → Private Habit → Battery → Select Unrestricted. Ensure Private Habit is not in "Deep Sleeping Apps". |
| Xiaomi / Redmi (MIUI / HyperOS) | Go to App Info → Battery Saver → Select No restrictions. Also enable Autostart if available. |
| OnePlus / OPPO (OxygenOS / ColorOS) | Go to App Info → Battery usage → Enable Allow background activity and disable "Optimize battery use". |
| Google Pixel / Stock Android | Go to App Info → App battery usage → Select Unrestricted. |
3. App Lock & Biometrics
You can protect your habit dashboard from prying eyes:
- Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → App Lock.
- Toggle on Enable Biometric Lock.
- Whenever you launch or switch back to Private Habit, the operating system's native biometric prompt (Fingerprint or Face ID) will authenticate you before displaying your habits.
